Hey Everybody!

As you know, the race is coming to the end. For the past few months I have been praying into what the Lord wants me to do next. This year has taught me so much. From handwashing clothes to walking worthy in my calling (Ephesians 4:1).

With that being said…*cue drum roll* I will be heading back out on the mission field to the 10/40 window in the new year!

Of course you want details!

Here are a few questions you might have and here are some answers for ya!

What is the 10/40 window?

The “10” and the “40” stand for the longitude and latitude of the Middle East. This window is where a lot of unreached people reside.

What does unreached mean?

Unreached refers to a group of people where the Gospel of Jesus has not reached. They may know about God, but they don’t know the hope of Jesus.

Why am I going?

I am going because of the reason I just mentioned….they are unreached. This world is filled with chaos and turmoil, but I have joy, because all my hope is in Jesus. I want our friends in the Middle East to have that same hope too. Our belief doesn’t have to end in a government or a religion. But our hope can be found and stayed in Jesus Christ.

What will I be doing there?

The fun and scary thing about this next season on the field, is that we won’t have a set ministry that we’ll be partnering with. It will be completely Holy Spirit led! I can’t even imagine what the Lord will do in us and through us as we are seeking him daily and listening to His voice.

Specifically! Our ministry will be evangelism! The Lord has grown me in area a lot. The more I am in and understanding the word and seeking the Lord for deeper revelation, the more the fire is igniting in my heart to go out and share the joy I find in Christ.

When am I leaving and how long will I be gone?

This next season of my life will be a little shorter than this season was. I will be gone for the duration of 5 months starting January 4, 2023.

We will spend one month in Gainesville Georgia doing ministry, and 4 months in Kyrgyzstan, Jordan, and Egypt.

Do I have to fundraise and how much?

I do have to fundraise and it will look a lot like how I fundraised for this race! I have to raise $ 9,500 for this race.

This will cover my flights to and from each country, my meals, lodging, and any other ministry related things.

This time around, I am looking for more monthly donors. As I walk in my calling with the Lord, it is evident that I need to create a devoted community of supporters, who will walk alongside me financially and prayerfully.

Of course, one-time donors are very much appreciated, but please pray into being a monthly supporter.

If you have any other questions, please comment on this blog or you can text me or email me.

  1. Hi My Sweet Ericka! We’re so proud of you for going to the 10/40 window to minister to the people there. You have so much inside of you to share with them. You are laying down your life again for Jesus. There is nothing better than that. We speak great blessing and provision and strength and boldness over you. We love you so much Ericka! We’re continuing to pray.
